Heybridge U3A
Creative Writing Group

We are a small group who are interested in creative writing in a variety of different styles.
We meet at 2.30 pm on the 4th Wednesday of the month at Angela's house.

The aim of the group is to encourage any of form of creative writing, from short stories and poems, to longer pieces of fiction. Our different approaches to the various technical aspects of writing, such as plot lines, characterisation, dialogue etc. produce interesting and instructive discussions.

A theme is chosen for the following month, to act as a source of inspiration if needed, although members can bring any piece they have written. At the meetings we read out our work to the group, and receive plenty of encouragement, as well as friendly, constructive critique.
