Colin takes us inside a hard drive
The aim of the group is to obtain an in depth understanding of the working of computers, together with the appreciation of a variety of software applications. As a group we are interested in: website design; the construction and the function of the various components in a computer; discussing the attributes of various computer programmes; the operation of networks and alternative operating systems. In our short existence we have further developed the Heybridge U3A website with enhanced navigation and page layout. We have also incorporated individual web pages for some of the interest groups who have provided their own basic text. We as a group enjoy meeting together to discuss the technical aspects of computing. The content of this page has jointly been written by members of the Technical Computing Group. |
