Heybridge U3A
Computer Group

The Computer Group meets on the third Thursday of each month in the Claydon Room at the Plantation Hall Heybridge at 14.00.

The aim of the group is to enable members to learn more about using computers.

We progress entirely by self help, based on the fact that some members are considerably less expert than others.

We study various aspects of computing including: the use of emails; exploring the internet; word processing: spread sheets and presentation programs.

Our discussions have helped members to address a great variety of subjects, for example: the use of emails, not only for sending messages, but also for conveying attachments such as photographs and documents.

We study the use of search engines for acquiring knowledge, product information and internet shopping.

Our discussions are always informal and often lead us in unexpected directions prompted by members' enquiries.
